Feet on the ground

Frist time Zoe steps foot on the ground outside! Standing up supporting herself on both feet.
She is a walking girl now not much more crawling for her.

It was nice outside so we went out and enjoyed our day, she was walking all over the ground. A few times she fell down but that's becaues she let go of my hand and was trying to get away to fast. Zoe get back up and does it all over again.

For sure not a quitter!

Zoe does circles around the houes! Right now I'm on the computer and she is playing so nice talking and making lots of noise not even trying to get to the computer which is weird, normaly she is right at my side trying to push all the bottons. I 'm so amazed at what she is doing! she is pushing her toy phone around.. hahaha she makes me laugh!

I couldn't of asked for a better child..

My 21st Birthday

My Birthday turn out to be a little diffrent than what I thought, but I sure had awonderful time. I got to talk to my family and Dennis came home with beautiful red roeses. Than Dennis's mom Lorna took Me and Zoe out we went to the wonderful hotel restaurant Carriage Houes Inn.

I wanted veal and thats what I got it was so good it was almost the same as when my Grandma made it. It was breaded and it come with veggies and potatoes, just wonderful and Lorna had the same. Zoe how ever got some chesse pasta that she quite enjoyed. After our yummy dinner I got carrot cake that we all shared, carrot cake is so filling and I was very full from my dinner.

In this hotel there was a bakery that sold breads to pastry. Lorna wanted to see what was there and she ended up getting me two strawberries diped in chocolate. What a super nice treat!

What a great 21st Birthday that I will never forget. Thanks again Lorna for the great night.

Step step trip step step walking!

I finally got some picture of Zoe walking! She is full on walking and I'm so proud of her. For me it some what hard to explain the feelings I get when Zoe is learning and catching on to new things everyday, I'll try my best
It's like when you first learn how to ride a bike or climb a tree you know that feeling you get when you feel so good and proud about yourself well thats some what of the feelings I get when Zoe walks, it more then just that. It's just so exhilerating.

Cost in a year

Do you know how much it costs for a baby in one year?

I have kept all the receipts for everything we have bought for Zoe in the first year. I wanted to know how much it would add up to and I wasn't really surprised how much it came to. I thought it would have been a lot more but I'm glad it wasn't.

This includes..

The baby room:
crib
dresser
change table
night stand
rocking chair
toy chest
lamps
shelves
pictures
baskets

The necessities:
diapers
wipes
lotions
creams
bottles
food
bowls
spoons
clothes
shoes
blankets
towels
face cloth
bibs
stroller
car seat
play pen
high chair

Fun things:
Books
toys
swing
impulse items

Grand total is:

$3,479.38

The total would have been more if I had to buy everything. Thanks so much to family and friends who put baby showers together for us, and ones who just gave us gifts or who lent us some things. It is a big help so once again thanks everyone for helping us out in the beginning and all through the year. What a blessing you have been this first year.

Family and friends

Some of you already know that Zoe is a walking girl over the last couple of days she has imporved her walking skills big time. The strategy for Zoe is she has to be balanced before she makes her steps. At the most, she makes 6 steps at a time.

This is the Zoe pose

My old friend Bryce, and his girlfriend Sarah from Dundas is coming to see us early Febuary. They will be staying with us for few days well they visits Calgary.

On Febuary 16 Zoe and I will be flying out to vist with Ev(Auntie Ev) for a week while she is on reading break. We will be having a jam packed week of lots of fun. Then on the 26th Zoe and I will be heading west to Huron Park were Mom and Dad live. We will be staying there till March 2nd. We fly out of london back to Calgary where home is.

Then in early March my cousin Krista will be visting us only for a few hours as she is here for a busy conference for the weekend. I can't wait to she her as it has been a long time since I have seen her.

At the end of March Dave and Heather will be passing though Calgary and visiting us on there move back to Winkler.

What a great start to the new year by seeing family and friends.

The Life

This is the life mom, relaxing on the floor on my tommy. I think I'll stay here for a while and enjoy. You should come and join me as you look so tired too it really works after lying down here for a bit you'll feel better I promise mom I do this all the time and I always have energy to play.

Catching up on some reading in the bath, learning all about getting clean. Who cares about the bath toys or playing in the bath when I could be learning how to read.

New plants

I went out shopping on boxing day yes it was pertty crazy but fun, we went to Ikea and I got myself a nice new dresser that will fit all my things-thanks mom and dad! Ikea also hads a plant area every time I go I always check out the plants, I just love plants it's fun to take care of them and watch them grow. The only problem is that it can get a little costly, and we have a cat that might like eat them. So the only plants that I have are hanging. I've been wanting plants in pots for a while now I've just been waiting for the right ones. I was looking around and there were thoes pots for 99 cents! just plain white very simple I got four of them then I was looking for small plants to put in them I came across these cute little ones for a $1.89 I just had to get them and they look so nice and it didn't cost me much at all, and so far the cat hasn't gone near them.

Zoe is doing super great she is walking more and more everyday now on her own. I'm still trying to get a picture of her walking but its very hard when she moves so fast. but I'll post one of her soon. sorry for the lack of posting. enjoy your day.

New season coming

In three days a beginning to a new season will open for Zoë and I, I will be starting a new job here in town (today was my last day at the stone willow inn, in St Mary's) and Zoë will be starting daycare.

A few weeks back I got offered a job at the local grocery store, I will be working in the seafood department as a seafood clerk close to full time. I don't like seafood but I hope the job is better. It will only be 10 minutes away as a pose to a 30 minute drive one way so i'm looking forward to only drive ten minutes away and plus I will only be minutes away from the day care center that Zoë will be going to.

In the early month of August I had got a phone call from the day care center saying that there would be a stop open in early September! which is great I have been on the waiting list for five months. My Mom and my dad have both been really good about watching Zo while I'm working- Thanks so much Mom and Dad I don't really know what I would do with out you, you are the best!

I look forward to an new adventure for the both of us, seeing Zoë grow and play with toddlers her own age (more to come on that) and for myself more growth.

Picture of Zo and I in front of the day care sign that she will be going to. (One of the few visits that we had to get more familiar with going there)
