Tis the season

Hi I’m still here I have just been a little busy with the hustle and bustle of the season.. Christmas is nearing and that also means Zoë is going to be having a birthday here soon on December 23 which she will be turning two!! ( where does the time go I yet to figure that out)

I have been buying lots of Christmas things as I have to start all over again. I am doing a girly theme which is having a baby pink and silver Christmas tree, it’s going to look so pretty but if only I could find baby pink balls.. I have some but there are a little big so I’ve got some pink dragon flies with sliver sparkles on them. So pretty much I am going to have the coolest most pettiest looking tree out there. December 9th Ev is coming over and she is going to help me put it up, so one week more to go. I did something for the first time ever I gave in and I am going to be having a fake tree yes a fake one it’s sad really but I got a really good deal on a fake one. I can’t even believe I did it. I hope the tree is as nice as the picture on the box! if not I will be returning it..hahahaha my standards are high for a tree as I have always had a real one. Pictures to come..

This past weekend I went to Dundas to go shopping at Ikea to get Zoë her Birthday/Christmas gift. I thought it would be practical to get her a bedroom set seeing as she is turning two and will be out of her crib soon ( which she is already ready for a big girl bed ie: a twin bed!) So that’s what I did I got her this really cute bedding with a matching rug, lamp, toy organizer with bins and a book case. Thanks so much to her Dad and gramma Cole for the funds, She will now have a big girl room! We have been both doing really good not much is really new here still working with the fish and Zo is in daycare. Gordon my car is really good no issues at at all.. which is a blessing. I am looking forward to Christmas as I will get to see and spend time with my family, who knows the last time I was here for a Christmas!?. talk to you all later...

Mercury Sisters

On Tuesday of this past week I got myself some new wheels!
It's a 1996 Mercury Sable with 171,000 kms on it and it was kept in good condition. My amazing neighbour Tim found this for me from a friend of his... and he got it for a steal of a deal!

I got my car on Tuesday and Ev got a new car on Wednesday. And guess what - she bought a Mercury, too!
She got a 1995 Mercury Mystique with only 62,000 kms on it!! It was owned by an old lady who kept it in her garage - and obviously didn't drive it very much. The car is immaculate! Her mechanic was amazed when he saw what great shape it was in - he doesn't think that she ever drove the car in the winter! My car is kind of old man style so I named him Gordon and Ev's car is more of an old lady car so she named her's Edith. But don't be fooled by their appearance. . . these cars have lots of power - they've both got V6 engines and attitudes to match!

Bye bye Bueller

Well the time has come I have to part with Bueller.. a little bit of history here with the old guy...

He is a 1992 jetta so that would make him 14 years old and for a car that it pretty old..
I was the second owner, you see that sounds good right!? but it wasn't the owner before me didn't do anything to Bueller he just drove him with out any check ups or any maintance.
So that leads me to fix up everything and therefore its costing me so much.. putting all this money in to an older car really was hurting me
I had to get two back new doors on him, fix up some of the locks and windows, get new parts for him sorry I don't know what they were called but I know that it stop the issues, new hood parts( wow that is a story in its self let just say my hood came completely off while driving yeah have that one happen to you!) And now my brakes don't work... completely broken. The main cylinder is shot..

Every time I fix something, something else seems to go on me and I can't do it anymore. I drive him for a week and then what do you know I need to fix him up again... so sad really

A week ago I stood on the side of the curb crying over Bueller do I fix him or do I let him go..
You see this was a very hard thing for me it was my first car mine all mine and I pick out the colour that he was going to be, painted him drove him for six months put lots of money and time into him. Now what I just give up and let him go and get something else that is going to last me longer and not have to put so much money in to... so this require asking Tim( the car guy IE my neighbor who did all the work on Bueller) so here I am in tears I say Tim. I need to know what you think do I fix him up or get a new car and he said "get rid of him, I hate to see you put more money into this older car and what's going to go next?"

So that's what I'm doing, saying good bye it's been great I learned how to drive standard and paint a car with tremclad

Now I have to brake all the attachments with him, my last kiss and hug goodbye.

BYE BYE BUELLER

This Tuseday I am getting a new car well new to me more on that when I get it!

Family visit

I know I am a little late but, just this past weekend my Uncle John and Aunt Lorrie and there son which is my cousin Bryden come from Seattle. They stay with us for 3 days. We didn’t do much I mean like going anywhere with them but they did see the town and the neighborhood in which we live in it was a nice visit just hanging out and chit chatting with them.

I took Bryden across the street to see the cows cause really that’s the only thing that is close and cool to do around this part! hahaha.. when we got there, there wasn't even any cows there was this one lonely horse and it came so close to the fence that we even got to touch it! Bryden had a blast but he did however keep asking where the cows where and he was saying I want to see the cows! I got him so worked up to see the cows poor boy was so disappointed that there was none.

It was the first time that they met Zoë and she was a little sick but still had fun playing with Bryden. The day they left Zo and I were out me at work and Zo at school, but when I got home I asked her if she misses Bryden and she said yes it was so cute.

picture of us..
P.s Zoëis very sick looking but she did sit still for the pictures so that turn out to be a good thing!!

Racking the leaves and playing in them, now this is what I am talking about some good old fall fun!
