Zo the Zoologist

I little bit of back ground here.

Zoë loves animals and all she gets so exciting to see is the cow that lives across the street from our house. She doesn’t complain that that’s all she see but I would like her to see more real live animals not just ones from her story books.

Dad and I decided it was time to find a petting zoo or a zoo for that matter. So Dad looks up in the phone book under zoo and sure enough there was one Pine Ridge Zoo he gives them a call to see if it still is existing and it was.

Packed up my car and head over to the zoo it was only 20 minutes away so not bad at all. I was not really expecting anything good here maybe 5 animals or so, so no expectations. Sure enough we get there and it turns out to be so good! With over 25 different kinds of animals including big ones like Jaguar, Yak, Lamas, Tiger and more over 40 beautiful acres and natural foliage and trails. This zoo had it going on also when we got there they were selling a bag of peanuts for $1 I bought a bag as I thought Zoë would enjoy feeding the animals.

As were walking down the trails Zoë is talking and singing to the animals she also was not afraid to feed them she joined in on eating the peanuts. It was cool to get down on her level and see what she sees as she is so excited to see them all.

Oh Zoë my little zoologist!

Firday night

What an awesome night! It started out with me learning how to drive my car (its standard) I didn't do too bad and I really enjoy it lots in no time I will have it all down.
It was so nice to be able to drive myself and others somewhere! I’m always the one asking if I can get a ride so this is feeling good.

I drove it to the Prouts party last night and what a fun night it was. There was a huge touch football game which I was doing nothing for the team so I didn’t play long.

I went paddle boating with Jody (Prouts have a lake in the backyard) It was cool it had been so long that I have been on a paddle boat. We just went around the island and came back.

Went we got back there was baseball going on a bonfire and trampoline jumping basically it’s like a retreat in there backyard.

I jumped on the trampoline for a bit, but its scares me a little bit when there is too many on it.

I brought some hotdogs for us and roasted one for me there was samores making which I love some much, I had a few.

Then I went running down to the lake where there was ken and some other person I don’t know fishing. I have never tried this sport so I wanted to give it a try. The first few cast outs I never got a fish so I was getting board and as I was about to give up I catch one!! It was a little scary as I didn’t know what I was doing, but it was so cool ken took it off and thrower back in.

Then I drove myself home it was great no waiting for someone else to take me home!

Exciting News... Keep Reading!

What a busy life I have now and when I have some time I don't really feel like writing a blog so
I'm going to make this short but check you all up to date on the lastest things going on in my life.
Father's day weekend:
I worked on Saturday and after Mom and I drove down to Dundas to see Lydia and Evelyn (Dad was already there). We had a nice brunch Sunday morning and after went to Grandma's for connolis.

Auntie Lyds wanted to go shopping to buy Zo something so we did that here is the cute out
fit she got her!

A nice picture of us sisters and Zo which for some reason we have never got one in a year and a half. ( which is how old zo is going to be in 3 days!)
So that was Father's day nothing too special.

On Monday morning I had my G2 drivers road test (for the Albertans this mean class 7) I did so good I was on the road for about ten minutes and the teacher Don took me back and told me I passed not so bad for only driving for 3 months!! Hahaha

So after a long four months of searching for a car well my Dad doing all the work (thanks so much Dad) the searching has now come to an end. I never did realize how much work it is looking and buying a car I'm not to sure what I would of done if my Dad was not doing all the work. On Saturday so just before I did my road test I bought a car. (Good thing I passed my test!)

I got a 1992 Volkswagen Jetta!
We had to bring it home on a flat bed the car was from Ancaster near Hamilton too far to drive it home with out plates and because it is a standard and I don’t know how to drive that but I will learn there are a few people I know here that drive standard that can teach me.

It’s in a really good condition only one owner and the miles are low. Right now it’s getting safety I should have it on the road by the end of the week and in that case I will be for sure getting a picture of me in it!

Independence is going to feel nice!

My Week

It's been a while lots has been going on here in my world between working and being a mama I'm one busy lady!

Some of my week:
Thursday we when to London to get our Ontario health cards switched over. We drove in with our friend Melissa (who I work with and go to church with) and her daughter Jayden (4 years old) they were going there because Jayden need to see the dentist. After our appointments we went to MacDonald’s (this was Zoë first time eating there) in this MacDonald's there was a play house so the girls played in there for a little bit but Zoë is still a little too small to be going in the tubes and down the slides.

We made a trip out of this and went shopping which I got a few tops, pants and of course some things for Zo. I needed to get a baseball glove (there was a big miss up with the pink one which I don’t want to get in to) so we went to sport check and it was closed for construction so I still don’t have one, and I had a ball game that night! Better get on it!

Friday I worked all day and then came home hung out with little miss and we went back out. Our church youth group was doing the relay for life at the high school here in town.
I stopped by there for some of the night. Played a little bit of football but wasn’t really doing anything for the team so that didn’t last long.

Saturday caught up on my life as I have been so busy and been electing some things, but that night had a movie night with Jody and we watch 13 going on 30 and pride and prejudice (the new one) witch both of them were ok. And this leads me up to..

Sunday today uummm didn’t really do anything went to church and after went to godfather’s (a pizza joint) with some of the youth. Now I’m just enjoying the night.

It feels like I don’t even get to sit down very much
anymore but I love it I can’t complain.

Pictures of Zo this past week:

Left: eatting her first cupcake!

Right:helping me rack the grass/leaves!
Center: playing in the play house at MacDonald's
