Summer time is here!

Our time at the beach was a blast, yesterday was +32 it was a hot one. We get to the beach and the sand was so hot it was almost as if it were going to burn. So we set up closer to the water as the sand there was not as bad. I got Zoë in her swim suit an put on lots of sun screen even in her hair ( I didn't want her to get a burn on her head and she won't wear her hat) this is the turn out of that! (silly hair!)

I don’t normally burn so I never put any sun screen on me and guess what my back is burnt, just on my back so it must of been facing the sun. (We were only there for 3 hours) I'm so glad Zoë never got brunt.

After I got her all sun screened up and in her swimsuit she was ready to get playing:

I brought her down to the water (it was not very cold but enough to make your heart stop for a second un till you get used to it) and it didn't even make her scream, move and or lift her arms up no she wanted more. So I went in and played with her I was throwing her up and down and she was having a super fun time laughing, splashing and singing away.

After a bit she was trying to push me away and she wanted to swim on her own but she can't so I was putting her on her tummy and moving her around like a little fish. When we would get back to the sore and she would start walking feather in the water. (But I was right there to not let it happen not yet)

At the end of us playing her diaper situation was pretty funny.. One big saggy bum!

Baseball/Big Bike

Today was a long day! I work in St Mary’s which is 30 minutes away from home and we were doing our big bike heart and stroke fundraising thing so there was not really any point in going home just to come back.

So I worked an 8 hour shift and when in to town well I was there I
got my hair cut than after that I went in to Dunny’s source for sports. I just started to play baseball and I needed something to wear to the games and as I’m looking around I see a pink glove!! I didn’t have one because I throw with my left hand so this would mean I need a right hand glove and they are hard to find. I got my dad to look in London he went into two used sports stores and they had nothing. So right away I ran over to see it and it happen to be for a left hand person which is me! I couldn’t really believe it I put it on my hand and it fit. To make it sort I was like a kid in a candy store well really a 14 year old girl. (I had to explain to the guy that it was for me and no I’m not 14) you can only imagine.

But enough about that not like any of you care about my pink glove I just find it so cool I had to share it. Oh and I’m forgetting to tell you I had a blast playing ball yesterday, too bad I forgot my camera. Next Thursday I will try to get some!

As for the big bike I’m still not to sure how it all works but it was so fun! It’s something like all the chains are connected somehow you have to pedal in order to make it work. Hope that help it's just so wired maybe you just have to try it some time! Hahaha

This is the group of us that were on the bike.
The funny part about me riding the bike was that I could not reach he pedals! It was so great so it was like I was getting a nice ride and everyone else was doing the work.

Melissa and I (and some of the group) just starting off getting ready to go around the block.

I had an awsome fun time, but I'm not to sure I would do it again maybe if my feet would touch the pedals.. How ever I can't wait to play ball and show up with a pink glove that sure is going to be a whole lot of fun and my team plays against Melissa's. muahahah

House keeping!

I have not really posted too much about my job, or any pictures of me at work for that matter.

Mostly because when I'm done work I'm done and I don't think or go there when I'm not working, but I thought it would be nice to share to you me at work, you have to bare though the overly big smiles on my face.

Reason for the overly big smile is because I know I'm a dork and it was funny asking the people I work with to take pictures of me cleaning a room. (They just don't get it and well maybe you for that matter) I just think it would be nice having the memory of this.

You ask why? we’ll it’s mainly the people I work with; they are so special in there own wired way. Let say very dysfunctional family that is all working in one unit. I don’t really need to get into this as I go there to work but now don’t get the wrong impression that I don’t like it I do its fine.

Here I let you see for yourself…

It all starts with the cart: This cart contains new towels, sheets cups and coffee things, soaps, shampoo, toilet cleaner, dusting, cleaning product and more. I'm sure you get the point. Next there is...

Bed making and room clean up.

Making the beds which I'm sure all you know how to do that so I don't even need to go there. Tidy up, dusting out and cleaning.

Next there is the washroom (which you might be thinking gross) It’s not really that bad, the worst part is the tub/shower it hard getting all the little hairs out (sorry if I’m grossing you out) I’ll stop there.

Then a vacuum job and that's it for the rooms. I also clean the hallways and washrooms.

That's house keeping not much to it.

This Friday I'm doing the heart and stroke big bike fundraiser. It's a 30 man bike it should be a lot of fun. Upcoming story and pictures on the weeken

May long weekend

We sisters were united on the weekend

With Lydia living in Ottawa Evelyn in Dundas and me near London we don’t really see much of each other. This weekend was very special I love seeing my sisters even if it only means for a few hours!
Saturday both Lydia and Evelyn were busy so I didn’t see them that night but it gave me a chance to see some friends I still have in Dundas.

Sunday morning we all went to church and after we spent the afternoon together Zoë got a very nice hair cut (say goodbye to the mullet!)It’s a little short but it was the only way to get rid of the mullet!

Half way thought the hair cut our cousin Krista comes over! It was nice to see her again as I just saw her last weekend. I can’t even remember the last time the four of us were together.

Than off to see our grandma, we surprise visit her with pizza and that was great!

Lydia’s best friend came over and we stayed up till 1am in the morning talking.

That was it that was our day and what a great day it was.

Today was a very special day I became an Aunite!

Congrautions to my brother Dave and my sister-in-law Heather for two healthy boys.
Ari Jeremiah 4lbs and 7oz

One more month

In exactly one moth from today I will be taking my drivers test!
When I pass it will give me my G2 (which is my class 7 in Alberta)
That means I will be able to drive on my own!!

But until then I will continue to practice my driving and parking.

I have a very young driver on my hands… When Zoë goes in the car she loves to sit in the driver seat and drive! Well not literally drive but pretend to!

This weekend we are going to Dundas to see Lydia and Evelyn.. more on that later
Have fun this may long weekend!

Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother’s day!!!

On Saturday we drove to Hamilton to celebrate mother’s day with my Grandma (my dad’s mom) we brought a nice chicken dinner with us. It was some what nice outside so we ate out in the patio of her nursing home.

After dinner Evelyn and I went out driving and my folks took Grandma on a walk around the block.

MyMother's day started off with a running hug from Zoë, it really doesn't get much better than that! I love you so much Zoë.

Today My Oma (my mom’s mom) uncle Gary, Aunt Sally and my cousin Krista drove to our house to celebrate mother’s day here. (It had been about nine months since I saw them last), My Mom made a super fantastic lunch for all of us.

After we ate Krista, Ev and I cough up on what’s going on in our life as it had been a long time.

I took Krista to see the town (Exeter) we went to the park in Exeter I was hoping that we would see a white squirrel, but we never did. I guess that give you a reason to come back!! Hahaha.

So while we were there I wanted a picture of the four of us and the first person I asked to take a picture took a really bad one, and then I asked a second person if they would take one of us and it was ok. So a third person that walked by I asked him if he would take a picture of us, he did and he even was an entertaining one making sounds for Zoë took look up at him. Does no one know how to take pictures anymore? It took the third person to take the nicest picture of the four of us and even still Zoë is not looking!!

I wanted a nice Mother's day picture of Zoë and me but everytime I picked her up she would get upset she just wanted to be free so this is the best that I got... (it's really quite cute!!)

Zoë is making a sad face but as soon as I but her down she was so happy, I tried so many times to get a nice one of us but it was not working.

After our walk in the park there was a baby swing so we put her in it and right beside it was a big kid swing and so I got on it and took a picture of us swing.

Beach Fun!

Melissa, Amy and I and our daughters Jayden, autum and Zoë all packed up in Melissa's van and ready to go at 9:30 this morning to go to the beach!

It was Zoë first time walking and playing in the sand and she was putting it though her hands, She didn't eat it until we got out the snacks. I would give her some chips and she would dip it in the sand and then eat it. I would try to take it away from her and give her a new one but she wanted the sand on them, I guess to her it just tasted better. I didn't really like her doing this but there wasn't really anything I could have done!

After our snack I wanted to go down to the water so I brought the 3 girls down with me. Zoë got a little on the excited side and was throwing rocks and playing all around mind you she never attempted to go in the water that was autum that did including her Dora doll.

As we were sitting there this guy Thomas is walking over to the beach.
Opps I'm getting a little head of myself here...

I work with Melissa at Stone Willow Inn; she is the one who got the job for me. We work in st. Mary's where the famous cement plant is. We get a lot of people staying at the Inn that work there some for months on end.

Thomas is one of those guys he has been there for almost two months! he is a good looking young German guy who knows it too, a little bit about him he loves sweets and he keeps a messy room with clothes and food every where, but not only that the best part about him is that he sleeps with a teddy bear!! That’s right a teddy bear.

So here we are in Grand bend which is about an hour away from the Inn Thomas starts walking over to the beach, Melissa asked me if that was Thomas and my month just drop. We yelled hey Thomas and at first he was a little confused but when he came over he knew who we were. He told us that he was coming to sleep and get a tan.

Off he went all embarrassed to suntan and when he was not looking a had to snap a shot at him
. I hope he didn't see me take a picture of him it might just get to his head!!

What a fun time at the beach. Hands down the best part about the beach was seeing Thomas suntan!

After we where done we all went to no frills (there is not one in our town) I had the three girls in the shopping chart well Melissa and Amy where checking out.

3 little monkeys in a cage.. (Jayden didn't want her picture taken)

I love the beach and I can't wait till the water is warm so that we can hang out there more I look forward to that.
